Teacher Champions represent their school or college and submit all the student’s essays. Students can participate in one of two age categories: 7-11 years or 12-18 years.

Essay results will be announced online on 1 March 2022.
The top entries either receive Finalist (top 10%) or Honourable Mention (top 10-33%) award certificates. The overall Grand Prize Winner, and top ten medallists in each category, will be officially announced at the International Student Debates and Awards on 11-12 July 2022.
Judging criteria
Student Debates
The 2022 Students Debates on Climate Justice will take place as follows: Country Debates in Spring 2022, and online International Debate & Teacher Champions Exchange as part of the Partner Power: Climate Justice Summit 11-16 July 2022.
