Join TSL and Compass Education for a one-hour Global Educator Workshop focused on using systems thinking to address eco-anxiety through education. This interactive session will encourage discussion about the causes of eco-anxiety and will allow participants to brainstorm ways in which educators and schools can support both youth and adults in transforming anxiety into positive action.
TSL actively supports quality sustainability training for teachers in the UK and globally, enabling educators to be confident and well-prepared when delivering lessons in the classroom.
70% of UK teachers believe they are are not adequately prepared to teach about climate change and sustainability (Teach the Future, 2021). TSL’s work, in collaboration with the University of Reading’sĀ Institute of Education and other partners internationally, is making a real difference to the knowledge and skills of teachers and helping to ensure that their lessons on climate change and sustainability are robust and of high quality. TSL is a member of the National Climate Education Action Plan group, supporting the implementation of the Department of Education’s Sustainability & Climate Change Strategy.
Through TSL’s international outreach to 120+ countries, including more than 3,500 teachers participating in the annual TSL International Student Competitions on global sustainability challenges, the charity supports teachers worldwide with impactful climate and sustainability education resources and training.
