Is Culture important for Sustainable Development and the SDGs?

• Declaration for Culture: In September 2022, 150 States adopted an ambitious international Declaration for Culture at the end of a three-day conference convened by UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation). The MONDIACULT 2022 event was the world’s largest conference dedicated to cultural policies in the past 40 years.
• States adopt historic Declaration for Culture at MONDIACULT 2022
• The next UNESCO World Conference on Cultural Policies and Sustainable Development, or MONDIACULT 2025, will be hosted by the Spanish Government in Barcelona (29 September – 1 October, 2025) – visit the official MONDIACULT 2025 website
